Joel started Baseline Growth Capital in late 2017 after several years of hands-on work with companies in all facets of integrated technology solutions and capital strategy. It was during this time as an investment banker and private equity investor that Joel was able to develop and field-test the unique concepts formalized in Baseline.

Prior to Baseline, Joel was a VP at Cypress Growth Capital where he helped develop and deploy an innovative royalty-based growth capital solution for technology companies. Joel started at Cypress in 2014 where he oversaw the firm’s Denver office and was responsible for investing activity throughout Colorado. He worked closely with Cypress portfolio companies on growth initiatives and follow-on capital strategy.

Prior to joining the Cypress team, Joel was a Managing Director at Core Capital Group, a boutique investment bank with a focus on raising early rounds of institutional capital for growth-stage companies. He worked closely with the top executives of many technology and business services companies to develop and execute viable financing strategies. Joel also worked for T. Rowe Price, a premier asset management firm, after starting his career in finance as a licensed security broker. Joel started his higher education as a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He now has an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Joel is a weekend warrior distance runner and a published author.  He lives with his wife and four children near Denver.

With over 15 years of operational experience, Raghav has shepherded hyper growth in early and midstage technology-enabled service companies and consumer-facing eCommerce platforms. He has built and transitioned businesses from static / one-off revenue models to recurring revenue streams, and, most recently, he has directed the go-to-market strategy and hardware build of an early stage “as-a-service” type business, which was anchored around a hardware technology. It was during fund-raising for this business that Raghav and Joel first connected.

Prior to that, spending almost 5 years as a senior leader, he helped build a digital marketing business that grew by 10x in about 4 years, generating $100M in revenue and swinging from negative to positive EBITDA in the same time frame. Raghav also led the aggressive growth of his sales territories while at Groupon, under the intense scrutiny of wall-street and through a rocky post-IPO environment.

In addition Raghav brings almost a decade of hands-on strategy and technology consulting experience at Deloitte Consulting, where he advised financial services clients through multi-million dollar technology and infrastructure decisions and M&A activity. Raghav has an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. To the Baseline team Raghav brings a broad operational know-how and skill-set, as well a global reach, and a strong first-hand experience in building and running “as-a-service” businesses. A recent transplant to the Denver area, Raghav and his family are enjoying all that Colorado’s outdoor life has to offer.

As an experienced CEO and Chief Supply Chain Officer, Bhawnesh has worked with more than 200 OEMs to help design, manufacture, and deploy product solutions in multiple markets. He has deep experience as an IBM engineer and production facility manager, and has served as the Chief Supply Chain Officer at global contract manufacturer Sanmina, and global electronics component distributor, Arrow Electronics. He has been the CEO of two global contract manufacturers, EPIC Technologies and Creation Technologies, where company engineers, procurement specialists, and global manufacturing facilities worked in partnership with OEMs to deliver product solutions with expedited time-to-market. Bhawnesh has been essential to the success of OEMs in the IOT, Industrial, Medical, Energy and Defense industries.

Bhawnesh is on the Board of IPC, an industry non-profit organization representing four hundred multinational companies and three million US production employees. He oversees IPC’s Government Relations Committee, with a staff in Washington DC. Bhawnesh is on the Board of Advisors at UCSD’s Rady School of Business and an industry member of UCSD’s Institute for Supply Excellence and Innovation. He is the Chairman of TiE Rockies, the Denver chapter of world’s largest organization supporting entrepreneurs in all industries. Bhawnesh has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a MBA from the University of Arizona. He and his wife live in Denver and enjoy hiking Colorado’s many mountain peaks. He also served on the executive and new hospital committees during the planning, financing, construction and relocation to a new $600mm hospital campus, as well as the expansion of its regional healthcare network.
